Hello, I am a fairly new editor and my sourced edit where I added the official fandom name in an attempt to improve the article in good faith was reverted. I am confused why the official fandom name is considered fancruft because I had checked the articles on other groups like Blackpink and Twice and they include their official fandom names, which I why I thought it was acceptable to add it. Could you please explain further User:Yolo4A4Lo so I can understand? Thank you.
Both articles you referred are not a Good Article, and as an editor, I strive to choose information that's notable enough for a Good Article. Fandom name is an information only certain people care about (fans and potential fans). It's not necessarily important to their career. Unless it has a good reason to be included (such as in BTS article where a section dedicated to their fandom is needed), I don't think it's an imperative information. There are wikia and fansites for that kind of trivia. - Yolo4A4Lo (talk) 01:53, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see now where you are coming from. I did not realize those two articles are not good examples. Thank you for taking the time to explain further. User350 (talk) 02:04, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
