According to New York Post and MLB baseball columnist Joel Sherman , Mark Newman , who ran the Yankes minor league system during the dynasty years, died at age 71 of a heart attack.

- There are other sources that might be considered more reliable. Consider https://www.tampabay.com/sports/rays/2020/09/12/mark-newman-who-oversaw-yankees-prospects-in-tampa-dead-at-71/ as a another source which would meet the critera for a reputible source.
