I would like to escalate the issue of an ongoing edit war on the "Positions on Housing" section. User snoogansnoogans has repeatedly reverted my edits to make the section sound more politically neutral. I am willing to offer a consensus with other editors to either a) remove the section on housing altogether, or b) agree to remove the inaccurate statements from snoogansnoogans and any of my own revisions that appear politically slanted and involve an informed third party editor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Inna12724 (talk • contribs) 12:49, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The content that you claim is non-neutral reflects what the cited RS say. Stop whitewashing it. If you are working for Elrich or are otherwise affiliated with him, you need to declare your WP:COI. Snooganssnoogans (talk) 12:55, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The revisions you made under "Positions on Housing" reflect politically-charged messaging against the subject with respect to stances on housing which is under a longstanding dispute in local discourse. The text chosen from the citations reflect criticisms without additional context and opinions without opposing perspectives. Example: "Liberal activists refer to Elrich as a NIMBY" is a hotly contested statement, because many activists do not consider this to be true. A more balanced approach would be to provide both sides of this coverage if the statement of this single opinion must be included. Additionally, broad claims that Elrich has opposed market rate and affordable housing are disputed, and counter evidence can be taken from within the text of the citations you provided. Lastly, it is worth pointing out that the decision to include a subheading about the most hotly contested rendering of Elrich's positions and no other subheadings of his tenure as county executive indicates an explicit attempt to convey a specific political characterization of the subject. The entire subheading as you have edited it presents a severely slanted narrative that upsets the political neutrality and balance of the article. Inna12724 (talk) 17:50, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
