I noticed a factual inconsistency around the date and/or the name of the author of the portrait of Remedios de Escalada that illustrates this entry. I do not have the correct information, so I am not able to edit and amend the entry, hence this message.
In this entry in English, it is informed that the portrait of Escalada is by Carolus-Duran. In the Spanish version, that it is a miniature by Charles Duran painted in Mendoza, Argentina, in 1817.
Charles Duran was also known as Carolus-Duran, as it is informed in the entry about him, so we could assume both entries refer to the same artist.
However, Duran was born in 1837, twenty years after this portrait is said to have been made. Even if there is a typo in the year the portrait was painted, Remedios de Escalada died in 1823, fourteen years before Duran was born. Jose Louis Iparraguirre (talk) 09:29, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
