As with the parallel wikipedia article on the Claudio Abbado / Vienna Philharmonic / Frederica von Stade recording of Mahler's Symphony No. 4, I very much regret that I neither saw this article nor saw the initial discussion to delete this article, as I certainly would have voted most emphatically to Delete. Like the other article, this article has absolutely no good reason to exist, because nothing is so distinctive or distinguished about this recording to justify it having a stand-alone article versus the other dozens of studio recordings of this symphony. This article exists only due to one wikipedian's obsession with Frederica von Stade, which is the exact same reason for the existence of the parallel article on the Claudio Abbado recording. To reiterate my comment on that article, every single article by said wikipedian that focuses on a recording that features Frederica von Stade needs to be removed from wikipedia. The inclusion of the conductor in the titles of those articles is a Trojan horse tactic that barely conceals the bias of the articles towards Frederica von Stade.
If that person wants to buy a separate web domain to maintain a separate internet 'shrine' to Frederica von Stade at his own expense, that would be his business. It is in no way acceptable at all to build such an internet 'shrine' to her (or to any classical music artist) on wikipedia with wikipedia absorbing the database costs of storage of those articles, besides the inherent waste of bandwidth. However, as with the Abbado article and all other von Stade-obsessed articles by that wikipedian, it is probably too late to delete this article, as much as it (and all its kin) should be deleted.
