Damaged happened to Starboard Main Engine.
[edit]In 1978 the Crankshaft of Starboard Main Engine of MV. Umoja damaged so the ship was grounded in Mwanza, Lake Victoria. On August1980 I arrived Mwanza as Marine Chief Engineer from Indonesia ordered by the Government of Indonesia to join TRC Marine Services at Mwanza. Then I was posted to MV.Umoja. In 1981 the new Crankshaft arrived then we overhauled Starboard Main Engine to renew the broken Crankshaft. We finished the repair job and the ship return to her normal services as Wagon Fery in the same year, bound between ports of Jinja and Mwanza. In October 1982 I returned to Indonesia. During my two year services with TRC, I also had ever been posted by TRC Marine Service to MV. Victoria and MV. Bukoba after the repairing job then sailing with MV. Umoja as Marine Chief Engineer.
