Review

[edit]

Hi, I'll be happy to review this article. I took a look at the article and I think this is ripe for promotion. The layout, prose, and sources look great. My review usually consists of two parts. In my first part, I will review the article's prose and post any suggestions/mistakes that need to be addressed. In my second part, I will try to go through every source and make sure the information is attributed correctly. Thanks and look forward to reviewing this! MX () 13:42, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot - will try to address review comments as soon as possible.Ssriram mt (talk) 16:38, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Part 1

[edit]
  • between Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo were – add (Congo DR) after Democratic Republic of Congo since you're using this format throughout the article.
  • also from nearby Copperbelt province - Copperbelt Province and capitalize the "p"
  • for the province by president Kaunda - capitalize "p" and link to Kenneth Kaunda
  • mandate during the 1991 elections - link 1991 elections to Zambian general election, 1991
  • Chiluba, the leader of - Frederick Chiluba
  • considered the son of the soil - is "son of the soil" a direct quote/given title? If so, I would add the (").
  • through Lake Mweru and to its - Lake Mweru
  • to its north by DR Congo - remove link per WP:OVERLINK
  • which has caused problems partly - I don't understand this whole sentence. What kind of problems? Consider separating into separate sentences since it might be a run-on sentence.
 Done
Geography
  • The province borders along Congo - remove link per WP:OVERLINK
  • to Lake Mweru, including waters - since you're linking this lake in the first mention above, remove the link here.
  • Congo Pedicle, the southeast - remove link per WP:OVERLINK
  • of the Democratic Republic of Congo which sticks into neighbouring - remove link and use Congo DR, per above.
 Done
Demographics
  • 50,567 sq. km and the population density was 19.60 per sq. km - Would you be able to add the sq. mi conversion too? [i.e. 1.0 km2 (0.39 sq mi)]
 Done
Economy and utility services
  • According to LCMS report of 2004 - what does LCMS stand for? Please write what it means and add (LCMS) after it, similar to total fertility rate (TFR), which you did before.
  • was 57,966.31 hectares - add acres too [i.e. 1.0 ha (2.5 acres)]
  • IMF report - Ditto.
 Done
Culture and tourism
  • Lumangwe Falls located 84 km (52 mi) from Mporokoso District, Ntumbacushi Falls located in Kawambwa district, Kabwelume Waterfalls on the Kalungwishi River, Mumbuluma Falls in Mansa, Mumbotuta Waterfalls in the confluence of Mumbotuta streams and Luapula River, Kundabwika Waterfalls, Chilongo Waterfalls located 85 km (53 mi) from Kawambwa boma are the major water falls in the province. - This is sentence needs a major revision. It runs without making a lot of sense. Consider introducing the falls, and then splitting accordingly.
  • enacting migration of Lubalunda - what is Lubalunda?
 Done

Part 2

[edit]

I'll be reviewing the sources tomorrow. Thanks for taking care of most of the concerns above. MX () 13:40, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Source 1, 5, 33, and 34 lead no where when they are clicked. - Please fix these.
 Done
  • Possible close paraphrasing violation here. - Please rephrase this by going here
Done The site copied from here - modified it.
  • "AIDS and HIV statistics". Central Statistical Office of Zambia. 2011. Retrieved 17 October 2016. - I'm not able to pull up the numbers. Where do I have to click?
 DoneIncluded a stable link.
  • Usage of Knoema - I haven't had much luck pulling the numbers/data for sources that direct to this database site. Would it be better to just use the original?
Done I have modified with Zambia stat page - please choose the stat parm (like agriculture).Ssriram mt (talk) 17:32, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Other than the issues above, everything else checks out. I'll be setting a close date of August 12 for these issues to be addressed. I'll be around every day if you need me. MX () 17:14, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
