Greetings! I shall be handlings this review. Not going to lie, upon hearing the name "Mr. Bean", my first thought is always the character, not the political analyst. Nevertheless, I'll be getting this review done in the next day or so. Thanks!

First review in this new year! Thanks! "Mr Bean" is the sole major reason why I used the same in DYK! With 10,780 views, it was great! – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 04:45, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

General Comments

[edit]
  • No major Copyvio according to Earwig's detector.
  • The references are all academic or otherwise official sources, and are all laid out correctly. In addition, there is no original research.
  • The singular picture in the article is fine to use. May I suggest including another picture in the body of the article? Personally I would recommend File:Deweytruman12.jpg under the Political Analyst subsection - mainly as predicting Truman's victory is what Bean is best known for.
  • The article and talk page are both stable, and lack any edit wars or other instability.
  • The article does not take a particular POV on Bean and is purely neutral in tone.
  • No MoS issues, and the article seems to give a well-written and concise view of Bean's life. In terms of scope, I'd definitely say it's pass. Only one thing - is there any material on Bean's legacy that could be included here? (Ie, his impact on political analysis and election predicting).

Onto the Prose.

Economic analyst

[edit]
  • "He was closely associated with Henry A. Wallace, the son of secretary of agriculture Henry Cantwell Wallace. Bean was also an advisor to Henry Cantwell Wallace." -> "He was closely associated with Henry A. Wallace, the son of secretary of agriculture Henry Cantwell Wallace, to whom Bean was also an advisor."

Political analyst

  • There's a lot of quotes in this section. Whilst that isn't necessarily bad, would it be possible to incorporate some of it into the prose?

Other than that, I can't see many issues. Should the above issues be taken care of, then I'm happy to pass this article. Thanks! ExcellentWheatFarmer (talk) 17:25, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@ExcellentWheatFarmer – I think I resolved all the issues. Thanks! – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 17:53, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In which case, congrats on the GA! Passed. ExcellentWheatFarmer (talk) 18:26, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
