Someday I'm going to add a bit about the Taste of Lombard and the Lilac Parade. Dupage Theater might be another nice addition. Anyone else live in or around Lombard? --Tyugar 02:34, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I'm here for the summer. Wasn't there some talk of demolishing the Dupage Theater? Might be worth noting on the page. --WayneMokane 20:26, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

History

[edit]

I believe that the town's original name was Babcock's Grove. One place to check is Lillian Budd's book: Footsteps on the Tall Grass Prairie. How about famous people from Lombard, there's got to be some? Harold Gray, the creator of Little Orphan Annie? Em-jay-es 05:56, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shopping Centers

[edit]

How about a section about the shopping centers in Lombard, including YORKTOWN mall? --Bobimmel 02:14, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Lilac time in lombard does not seem sufficiently notable to be an article on its own, especially with some of the detail that is there. I would recommend that the text gets merged here. -- billinghurst (talk) 06:04, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It makes sense to me. Njbob (talk) 21:41, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maple Street Chapel

[edit]

The image of the Maple Street Chapel should never have been removed, as it has played an important role in the town's history and its image is used in official village media. I will note, without further comment, that the church's image was removed by 98.243.93.206, in the same edit that placed an image of the Masjid Darussalam at the top of the page.
