notability
[edit]Regardless of whether I remember something or not the tag is appropriate at the moment and should be addressed not by a simple removal but, by following the advice within the tag "The best way to address this concern is to reference published, third-party sources about the subject. If notability cannot be established, the article is more likely to be considered for redirection, merge or deletion, per Wikipedia:Guide to deletion". We should address the issues that tags bring up and not just remove them. Thanks. Jasynnash2 (talk) 12:18, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- The movie is a published third-party source. Giving its name is referencing it. The article subject is clearly notable. You have a point that it needs more references for individual facts, but your contention that she's not shown to be notable is invalid on its face. --GRuban (talk) 14:16, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- sorry, I don't think just saying a movie exists is the same as referencing (and verifying it). The IMDB entry isn't the best but, at least it is a start. People are shown to be notable through verifiable references (preferably contained with in the body of the article). That's my understanding of the policies and guidelines anyway. It's fixed now and that is the important bit. Jasynnash2 (talk) 14:21, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed that's the important bit; thank you! --GRuban (talk) 14:23, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
