There is a civil parish for Padiham. I'm not sure but there may have been a period when there was not but I can't find a useful source.
The area along the canal on the western side of the town centre is known as the Weavers' Triangle which has been subject to a very stop start regeneration project for about 25 years. Recently we've seen some pretty major progress particularly affecting Victoria Mill and Slater Terrace.
