List of last surviving World War II veterans
[edit]Martin Leo August (Leo), born 31 May 1923 is still alive and just attended the White House Veterans Luncheon on 27 May 2024. He is a survivor of the USS Twiggs, which was sunk by a kamikaze pilot over Okinawa. I believe him to be the last of the Twiggs survivors, but do not know how to find verified proof. I appreciate help on this. Thank you! :) WillowVerba (talk) 20:20, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
