MCU
[edit]I'm lazy. Who wants to add the MCU films? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scott Sullivan 1997 (talk • contribs) 02:25, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]Merging the List of film series to this list makes sense to me because this list follows the naming conventions of the other film lists, List of film duologies, List of film trilogies, List of film tetralogies and List of film pentalogies. Additionally, once this merger is complete, the List of film series article could serve as a redirect to Film series, which would then serve as an intro for all the lists of film series. — WiseKwai 15:58, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Dodecology=12
[edit]I changed the word Dodecology (12-parts) to Icosology (20-parts) as that was what was meant in the article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Skippiikai (talk • contribs) 05:08, 17 January 2007 (UTC).
Page title is still wrong
[edit]The title of this page is Hexologies to Dodecologies, or 6 to 12 part films. The article lists series up to icosologies, and then more series up to 60 something parts long. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Skippiikai (talk • contribs) 05:12, 17 January 2007 (UTC).
- What should the title be then? List of film hexologies to icosologies? Or how about List of film hexologies and larger series? The latter title would capture those series that are greater than 20 parts. — WiseKwai 09:18, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- I was also thinking it would be good to leave it open after hexologies. Unfortunately "polylogy" isn't in the dictionary and its original language meaning is "verbosity". So, List of film hexologies and larger series seems to be the best naming. Please, comment so we can move the article soon. Hoverfish Talk 12:15, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Pornos?!?!?!?
[edit]Are porn series' really necessary in this list? ONEder Boy 01:31, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- Films of any nature are welcome to be on any of these lists. - LA @ 09:08, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Completion
[edit]Are films which have not, and therefore may not, be made really fit for inclusion? Makes such lists speculative at best, reducing their value as an authoritive work. --Falcadore 11:54, 29 October 2007 (UTC) 80.42.162.24
National Lampoon series
[edit]Why is the National Lampoons movies incomplete in this section, ref https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Lampoon_films 80.42.162.24 (talk) 21:40, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
Duplicates (Almost)
[edit]Some series are listed twice (with minor differences in the title). I wonder whether it is necessary, for example, to make a list for Pokémon theatrical releases, and another for all Pokémon movies. The same goes for Godzilla. There is a list for the Soma series and another for all Godzilla movies. Wouldn't one list for each be sufficient? Puceron 01:42, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- You are right. I'm not familiar with either but I'm willing to wager that most of those films are unrelated to one another other than the name and title character. It's like the Batman films. The live action Batman films are not listed with the animated Batman films because they are different series. Batman Begins, the fifth live action film, is not included with the first four because it does not belong with that series. Are all the Godzilla films a sequel from one to another to another and so forth? I highly doubt it. --Bardin (talk) 08:20, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Star Trek film series
[edit]I don't think all eleven Star Trek films should be considered part of the same series because there is no character that's in every film. 8 of the films have Star Trek TOS characters and 4 of the films have Star Trek TNG characters so I think the Star Trek series should be separated into two series, with Star Trek Generations existing in both of them. 220.245.176.122 (talk) 08:39, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Numbering
[edit]I have renamed the headings to the simple English "eleven films", "twelve films", etc, as I don't think the words "isodecology", etc, exist in the English language, and it is unlikely most people would be able to understand the greek, thus making the page impossible to navigate. Robsinden (talk) 13:09, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Incidentally the words would have been "isodecAlogy", "dodecAlogy", etc, if you were to follow the Greek. But, like i said - no such words in the English language. Robsinden (talk) 13:12, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Film series and spin-off films
[edit]Hi. I can see that almost every spin-off films are included in the lists of film series here in the List of feature film series with (number) entries articles. I don't think it's actually correct, as most spin-off films are not a part of the film series, but a separate film in the same franchise as the film series. I guess that if it's a spin-off/sequel hybrid film like Men in Black: International (part of the Men in Black franchise) and Finding Dory (part of the Finding Nemo franchise), it should be included in the lists of film series since it's 50 % spin-off/50 % part of the film series. But if it's a 100 % separate spin-off film that's not a part of the film series like Hobbs & Shaw (part of the Fast & Furious franchise), Lightyear (part of the Toy Story franchise), Planes 1 and 2 (part of the Cars franchise), Lavalantula 1 and 2 (part of the Sharknado franchise), and Minions 1 and 2 (part of the Despicable Me franchise), it should not be included in the lists of film series. So I think we should either remove every 100 % spin-off films from these lists here in these articles or rename the articles where the word series is replaced with the word franchise.
