[edit]Does this list include ladies football and camogie? --Eamonnca1 TALK 22:53, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah Gnevin (talk) 16:36, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- It would be helpful if knowledgeable editors could add GFC, HC, LGFC, CC or GAC after clubs (spelling out at first mention in each county). Brocach (talk) 22:56, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
Shortening of article
[edit]To aid readers when viewing this massively long article I've added columns, however for some reason it doesn't seem to work when I use them for Dublin GAA, Donegal GAA, or Down GAA, so they are still as they were.
Might make sense to split this article up on a provincial basis to help reduce the length? Mabuska (talk) 18:49, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- With the addition of columns, the article is much improved. It's more useful to have all the clubs in a single article. Part of the problem with Dublin is that it departs from the format for other counties by giving precise details of each club's catchment area, even when there's a link to an article on that club. Would anyone mind if I took out that info at least for the linked clubs? Brocach (talk) 19:01, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Useful maybe, but not handy for readers. If there is a website giving the information then the website should suffice for a list of clubs, which should after all remain a list not a street directory. The column problem is that it lists the column number for some reason and nothing in the list. Mabuska (talk) 19:04, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I had a go at the columns myself, can't see any obvious reason why it won't work for those few cases. But please keep this as a single article: it's easy enough to navigate. On Dublin, I'll give it a few days to see if anyone objects. Brocach (talk) 19:22, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Donegal now in columns, Down still resisting. Brocach (talk) 12:33, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
Dublin and Down now in 4 columns. The problem was to do with some complex web addresses - I just deleted or shortened them. Brocach (talk) 18:54, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
