Incorrect Date

[edit]

The final performances of the show were on Labor Day weekend of 1997—August 29 through September 1, 1997 (I still have the "Disneyland Today" brochure from that weekend). I corrected the show ending date that read September 8th.

Additionally, I made edits to the section on the Annual Passholder premiere to correct the events that happened that evening, as I attended the event that night, still have the $25 ticket for the event, and also recall that the statement that the show was to be a dress rehearsal was not Disneyland's response to the passholders' reaction, but was a statement made by then-President of the park, Paul Pressler, in remarks made by microphone to all the passholders in the "Small World" area of the park before the show was presented to them for the first time. The statement about the lines waiting for refunds is based on my first-hand knowledge of that evening as well (the line extended all the way down Main Street to the central "hub" area in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle as I was leaving the park that night).

Awkward Sentence

[edit]

"Light Magic was put on hiatus until 2000 after Labor Day, 1997, but 2000 came and went without any indication of Light Magic ever coming back. "

This is an awkward sentence, so I hope you don't mind, but I fixed it.

Removal of text

[edit]

I removed the following text: , which yet again returned, at Disney's California Adventure in 2001

The text was in reference to the Electrical Parade. The return of the Electrical Parade to DCA belongs in the Electrical Parade article, not in the Light Magic article as it had little to do with the history of Light Magic. Light Magic was already gone by 2001.

I also did some copy-editing to remove text that is not entirely encyclopedic:

ill-fated - This is an editorial-type comment that may add color but not substance to the article.
