This article states the Italian Destroyers "Pantera" and "Tigre" were scuttled. Whereas an eye witness, Lieutenant Webb, flying a Wellesley bomber states they were sunk by gunfire from "HMS Kingston". Although the author does concede that reference books disagree, this is not unusual for the time.Cite error: There are <ref>

Further Wikipedia concedes that gunfire from "HMS Kingston" destroyed the "Pantera" and "Tigre", but states after being "scuttled", rather than just abandoned in shallow water. Cite error: There are <ref>
