There are some odd things here that I need to point out. The picture is actually one of Mothra, not of Leo. Second, the name Leo isn't actually the true name. It's actually Mothra Leo. I'm hoping these will be fixed soon. --ZippZapp 23:54, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, who cares and second of all they actually call him Leo not Mothra Leo. The people at tohokingom just gave him that name. You probally got that name from tohokingdom. The picture should probally be replaced but the name is perfect the way it is. --Naruto134 00:00, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with changing the picture, however, I disagree with merging it to the Mothra article. That would be like merging Minilla and Godzilla Jr. to the main Godzilla article. ----User:Dark Hyena , 18 March 2007 (UTC)

This article is pointless. It should be merged with Mothra. Yes, he is Mothra's progeny, but he is the main character of the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy. The Mothra trilogy, not the Leo Trilogy. He's just another version of Mothra, nothing more, nothing less.

Then by that same logic, lets merge Zilla with Godzilla, seeing as the title was GODZILLA. ----User:Dark Hyena , 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Merge. Leo is a member of the Mothra species, and Leo is his nickname. It's not like giving Jr his own article, it's more like giving Toto his own article when he's just an incarnation of Gamera.

The info presented here barely sustains an article anyway. It's just a badly written list of his transformations and could easily be covered in the main article.

This article is a stub, so it needs to merged. Who ever keeps removing the tag stop because I will ask an admin to block your access to edit this article and the Mothra one.

This article should stay as it is. It is no different to (for example) the articles dedicated to the villains to take on the mantle of VENOM (Eddie Brock, Mac Gargan etc.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venom_%28Eddie_Brock%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_Fortunato http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_Gargan They bare the same alias, but are different characters. Same here. The same can be said about Ben Reilly (the spiderman clone from the clone saga). At one point, he became the new spiderman, but he got himself a distinct article. My point is, Leo is more than a simple "Ultimate" version of Mothra, he is a different character representing a different ideal. The fact that he was actually seen onscreen with the original Mothra should be more than enough to confirm that he is a distinct personage. ----User:Dark Hyena

Venom is a parasite/Symbiote creature and it didn't die when it merged with someone else. I never heard him referred to as Mothra Leo in the films either. Unless there is an outside source from the films besides a song that confirms that Toho says he's not just another version of Mothra then the tag stays.

It's not just a song which confirms he's a different character, it's common sense. Not only do you actually see him onscreen with the actual heisei Mothra, thus setting him apart, but the same logic applies for Godzilla Junior by the end of Godzilla vs Destoroyah. He became the new Godzilla, yet he himself still retains a character distinction. Plus, Eddie Brock, as if to announce his retirement from the Venom persona, slashed his wrists, and the second host was abandoned and killed, so yes, in a sense, the parasite killed its previous hosts.----User:Dark Hyena

Someone should get rid of the merging tags already. They've been there for two months and no one merged the pages. If no one is not going to do anything about them then just get rid of the tags. --Naruto134 11:26, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There seems no information in regards to Wikipedia:Reliable_sources, on weather or not he is considered just another version of Mothra according to Toho. Fan made websites really are not considered reliable sources either, so unless there is a credible secondary source that says he isn't just another Mothra it's best to merge them.--CLS 17:14, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
