Lana Del Ray → Lana Del Ray (album) – It is more than reasonable to expect that a person searching for Lana Del Ray is looking for the singer and simply misspelled her current stage name Lana Del Rey, especially when this obscure record pulled in over 107,572 views in the last three months. With this assumption, I believe that attaching "(album)" at the end of this title and redirecting its current title to Lana Del Rey will help clarify the scope of this article and remove the middle "step" many readers appear to be facing on their way to the Lana Del Rey article. - Support Since Lana Del Ray actually is a past stage name of hers and I very frequently see people misspelling her current name as Del Ray (even notable news sources), this makes sense to me. Littlecarmen (talk) 20:47, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Lana Del Ray (album) → Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant – I realize that I requested that this article be moved not too long ago, so before I jump the gun with any further proposals, I'd just like to start an informal discussion first. As far as I can tell, there is nothing that would indicate that this record is titled just Lana Del Ray; Idolator, MTV, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and Vanity Fair all call the project by the extended title Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant. I would like to reach a consensus as to what the correct title of the record is, and from there take any further action as necessary. --Relisted. - I don't even know why this was moved in the first place. I think the latter is the album's correct title. — prism △ 22:30, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- The album was sold on iTunes as Lana Del Ray. I find this the most reliable source since it is actually from the time when the album was available for sale and her label put the album up on there, they should have known best. Even though the other articles you linked are from usually reputable sources, I don't think they are the best source for this. One of them even misspelled her current stage name, who knows whether they bothered fact-checking what the album was called if they don't even care to spell her name right? A lot of magazines also seem to get their information from Wikipedia and Wikipedia had the album listed as Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant for a very long time. - Comment I'm on the fence with this one. While there are plenty of reliable third party references supporting the longer title, there is iTunes listing which says differently. What does Lana herself call it? Snuggums (talk • contributions) 00:26, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think she's ever explicitly said the title of the album, she just refers to it as her first record and has said that she released it under the name "Lana Del Ray". Littlecarmen (talk) 10:03, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- I always thought that the latter was the full name of the album and have always read it as such in the media. PS, iTunes listings are incorrect most of the times, they correct it later. So does Hung Medien also. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:03, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- What do you mean, iTunes listings are incorrect most of the time? I've never seen that. Littlecarmen (talk) 10:03, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- @WikiRedactor: I can see why there is so much confusion regarding this. iTunes was/is selling it as Lana Del Ray. Judging by the cover, the "A.K.A. Lizzy Grant" seems to be a clarification of sorts that this is her real name and that Lana Del Ray is just a stage name. I'm 100% sure this discussion would not have taken place if the "A.K.A" part was written in the same size since then everyone would have considered it as a normal part of the title. However, in an MTV interview, David Nichtern (the guy who signed Grant) said: "There was a little bit of a buzz. About a year later — January 5, 2010 — we released a full album, digital from iTunes and all the digital suppliers. It was called Lizzy Grant a.k.a. Lana Del Ray." Here a person involved directly with the album has used a very different name from what we suggest it could be (Lana Del Ray or Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant). Even the Allmusic bio for Rey reads "A native of Lake Placid, New York, Del Rey released both the "Kill Kill" single and a 2010 debut album under her given name, Lizzy Grant, tagging the album "a.k.a. Lana Del Rey." Even this refers to it as Lizzy Grant A.K.A Lana Del Ray. I think it should not be renamed, and instead the confusion regarding the real title should be a point of discussion inside the article itself in a section like "Title." What I mean to say is that this confusion should be explored in the article, for example through a sentence like "There was confusion regarding the exact title of the album, with few publications like [names] listing it as Lana Del Ray, while others like [names] called it Lana Del Ray A.K.A Lizzy Grant. David Nichtern, [description of who he is and his relation to Rey], referred to the album as Lizzy Grant a.k.a. Lana Del Ray in an interview with MTV. " --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 18:49, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
- @WonderBoy1998: I think that's a great idea; not only does it allow us to explain the confusion surrounding its title, but it also gives us an opportunity for expansion if anyone ever decided to bring the article up to GA. WikiRedactor (talk) 18:13, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

Update Cover Picture to Higher Res.
[edit]Hi! I noticed the picture of the album cover the page used is in fairly low resolution compared to others and just wanted to suggest updating it to a higher res. version, I can provide the image if needed. Akailzzygrant (talk) 04:16, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
I've edited the album cover to my higher resolution edit, if you'd like to change it back feel free to :) Akailzzygrant (talk) 04:51, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
