good introduction
[edit]People 'unfamiliar with the subject' hardly look for Lamb-Oseen vortex by themselves, therefore I doubt the tag is useful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.48.235.2 (talk) 13:55, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Horace Lamb
[edit]I changed the link to Horace Lamb. Willis Lamb is very unlikely to have given his name to this vortex: not his field and too young. The first references naming it the Lamb-Oseen vortex are from 1940. And it is in Lamb's book "Hydrodynamics" from 1932, 6th ed.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crowsnest (talk • contribs) 08:20, 17 August 2008
core size definition is wrong
[edit]Core size should be square root of (4*nu*t), I don't know how to type "square root" though. I also changed the velocity profile because it was wrong before. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fangxujing (talk • contribs) 08:55, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
plot
[edit]A figure displaying the velocity flow field would be helpful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.132.209.201 (talk) 13:43, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Grammar
[edit]The English grammar of this article needs fixing by a native speaker, but although I am a professional editor, I know nothing about the topic, and so am reluctant to make any more changes than the two I have already made, for fear of inadvertently changing the meaning. It would be useful if a native-speaking mathematician could tidy up a little. Not a criticism of the contributors, at least some of whom were working in a language that was not their own!
