Photo : Update photo of starting quarterback Brock Purdy showing him in 49er gear for his article and inclusion on this page. (Requires photo upload and link to Wikimedia Commons.)
That bit about he and Chris Simms having each others' initials tattooed...first of all, that's trivia. Is it really appropriate for Wikipedia? Second of all, you've got to get a better citation for that. A blogger is not a reliable source of information for an encyclopedic article, because he's not held to any kind of standard of factual accuracy. He's very likely to have made up the story himself. It smells like bull to me. As they say, if you can't find a reference in a reputable, published source, then it's not important enough to be here anyway. Kind of funny, but not important. I'm taking it out. If you can find where CBS or ESPN or some other respected organization reported it, feel free to put it back in. GuySperanza (talk) 04:16, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
'Considered a rising star'. That is a bit of a stretch. He never had much of a success in the NFL. Look at how he did in Houston. All of his previous jobs were under coaches that owed his dad, i.e., coaches who served under his dad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.49.220.42 (talk) 03:25, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He wasn't let go by the Falcons for his calls in the Super Bowl. He had interviewed for and most likely informally accepted the 49ers' head coaching position prior to that game. I'm removing that bit. 162.233.120.163 (talk) 16:10, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The photo in the info box is stale. Does anyone have a shot of him in 49ers gear? If so, please upload to Commons and include it in the article, or let us know here. Thanks. Jusdafax (talk) 15:50, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
