this article lacks facts and references, but would be acceptable if these were added. anyone? -- Denstat 06:36, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added a couple of references. If you could help suggest what else needs to be added, I'd be happy to do more work on it. Queer Scout

good job, Queer Scout! nice citation style, too. since Kyan is so multi-talented, more precise dates and info about his books, awards and activities would be a good addition. also, the personal writing style of the article reads convincingly but must have had other sources for the facts it claims. for example, whoever it was that wrote that Kyan was "quickly offered" the job on QE -- how do they know that? from which print or other media source did it come? that sort of thing. Kyan's own website is a good external link, too, and adding that might cover some of the referencing work. do you have time to google that, and also find other interviews with/about Kyan? i am working on two projects and shouldn't even be here right now! thanks -- Denstat 06:29, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
found a good article online in his alma mater's school paper, the Loyola Phoenix. added one citation, more about awards and accomplishments, and started a table of contents. if you or someone wants to add a quotation section, the article contains a few good ones! still looking for citations for the anecdotal material, though. -- Denstat 00:58, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Loyola Phoenix is the paper for Loyola University Chicago, not New Orleans. He visited Loyola Chicago in 2004, so this article is wrong about that too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.228.4.28 (talk) 15:17, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It makes no difference where it's from. That article is only used as a reference for the statement about his work with Aveda; there's nothing in the article about him visiting Loyolo Chicago. Queer Scout (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 15:48, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do appreciate the talents of the other four...but Kyan has always been one of my favorites.
