Indigenous contribution
[edit]I think something should be added citing the indigenous contribution to the relationship between the whales and humans and to the crews that hunted whales in Eden. Tim 09/03/10

Modern Newspaper and Journal Inaccuracies
[edit]Please note the recent newspaper articles and scientific American Blog referenced in this wiki entry are factually inaccurate so please do not modify and revert the existing text of this wikipedia entry to reflect the incorrect accounts of the recent newspaper stories and not so meticulous..ie careless present day journalists. Recently someone has edited in a comment about hitching a whale carcass to a whaleboat overnight based on a totally fictitious invention by the journalist who wrote the scientific American blog. This was NEVER done. Green painted timber Marker buoys were always used for the purpose of marking the location of a whale carcass and the handmade whaleboats built by the whalers themselves were far too valuable to be left unattended on the sea! Please DO NOT use the scientific American blog article as IT IS NOT ACCURATE ! The journalist had not interviewed a single whaler or eyewitness of the Eden whaling family Community. I have edited this entry to more accurately reflect historic documents and the eyewitness account transcripts that I personally recorded on Video of all the surviving Whaling Davidson family members themselves and neighbour Margaret Brooks whom I interviewed in the 1990s. Their stories and my statements were inaccurately recorded by these journalists so please do not revert to their inaccurate reports. The Davidsons are regularly upset by inaccurate reporting of their history as am I (DocumentarianGregOrca (talk) 13:40, 31 July 2020 (UTC) Greg McKee). I am gradually placing online 20+ hours of direct video interviews of Davidson family members and Eden eyewitnesses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaRSdixOTqM It is disappointing to have the actual words of Margaret Brooks from her own mouth replaced by the contents of a newspaper article MISQUOTING what she said! — Preceding unsigned comment added by GregOrca (talk • contribs) 13:40, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
