I'll be reviewing this one!--AlexandraIDV 15:08, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
Images
- The images are fine. We don't usually illustrate gameplay with animated clips, but I guess it makes sense here since the concept you're illustrating is a multi-step thing that involves transformation.
- Although this isn't part of the GA criteria and won't affect the review, I do want to point out that the "fictional world" image does not have any alt text.
Infobox
- Jacqueline Yee does not seem to be mentioned in the article body or backed up by any source. Looks good otherwise.
Lead
- Would be nice to give some years for context in the development paragraph - when did they shift to game development? How long did they create commercials for prior to that? etc. Would also suggest giving a year for the film festival showing.
- Would probably elaborate a little on what "respectful music" means - it's clear in the article body that's it's about respect for a culture but it doesn't say so here
Gameplay
- Corporealize is a fun word that I don't hear very often, and I appreciate seeing it.
- I don't think all these capitalized nouns, such as karma, spirit mail, spirit bow, courage, gems, etc., really should be capitalized in an encyclopedia (as opposed to in a game where capitalization communicates to the player that the Word is Important)
which can be regained by continuing to attack enemies and collecting the dropped Courage.
What is courage in this game? Reading the previous sentence I was assuming it was something abstract, represented as building up a meter or something, but here it sounds like it's an actual object?
Plot
- Should there really be commas after
Taro tells her that,
andToshi tells Kena that,
? It looks incorrect to me. Kena tells Toshi to forgive himself, and the spirit of him and Zajuro move on.
- this reads strangely to me, and I had to re-read it once. Would suggest, and his and Zajuro's spirits move on.
Development
- I don't think you need to link Los Angeles in this context (MOS:OVERLINK). Looks fine otherwise.
Release
with a scheduled for release in late 2020
- ungrammatical- There's some jumbled chronology here - I would recommend writing about when the release happened before talking about how the PC release was through EGS or that the PS4 version can be upgraded to PS5
Reception
- I will not hold up a GAN review over it, but the reception section is feeling a little long and structurally repetitive. Might want to take a look at that if you want to take this to FAC.
Sales
- I guess this is not part of the GA criteria, but it does look odd to see a single-sentence section. Is there any more information on the sales? Otherwise I would probably suggest merging this with the reception or release sections.
References
- Looks good - RSs, the developer's website, and some interviews.
I left a few comments, but they're all pretty minor. I'll put this on hold for seven days - please {{ping}} me when you have addressed the above or if you have any questions!--AlexandraIDV 06:41, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, Alexandra IDV! I've gone through and addressed most of your concerns. Regarding Jacqueline Yee's infobox credit: like the plot, I tend to regard these names as "obvious" information that is technically cited to the game's credits, therefore not requiring a direct reference or mention in the body. I agree that the Sales section is a bit short; it's not intended to be the final version of this section—I'm hoping we'll get a bit more information about the sales, especially in the year-end data—but I'll keep an eye on it and merge it elsewhere if we don't hear anything by then. Please let me know if you have any other concerns. – Rhain ☔ 07:41, 5 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you! I am happy with your edits, and have gone ahead and promoted the article to GA.--AlexandraIDV 01:07, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
