A fact from Kaushiki Chakraborty appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 12 February 2016 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
On Wikipedia we use the name commonly used for an artist, and that is Chakrabarty, which is the name that her musical releases carry. She has another legal name through marriage but that does not change that - there are lots of examples for usage of stage names on Wikipedia. Hekerui (talk) 10:11, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It is confusing! In starting of the article and infobox, we are using the surname Desikan and in article title there is Chakraborty. In her website] too, she writes the name: Kaushiki Desikan and she is famous with this name! --Tito Dutta(Send me a message)11:30, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect she named the page "Kaushiki" and uses mostly this name on her page because her last name situation is confusing. If you think we should change the page I suggest you start a move discussion, we can get more opinions that way. I think Chakrabarty is preferable because it is more widely understood, but if others agree with your point, I would be fine with a move, too. Regards Hekerui (talk) 20:12, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
