More of a comment than a review, but maybe the hook could be split into two? This is probably one of those cases where each fact separately is more interesting than them together since I feel the current hook as currently written is a bit clunky. ALT1: ... that Kameron Simmonds is the third generation of her family to play for Jamaica in senior international football?
ALT2: ... that footballer Kameron Simmonds, who plays for Jamaica, only took up the sport after a gymnastics injury?
New enough, long enough, and adequately sourced. I was a little worried on reading the article that its sourcing might not be independent enough to ensure notability (although I think it is reliable for the article content) but news search found enough other material on her to allay my concerns. QPQ done. Earwig found no hint of copyvio. I prefer ALT1 or ALT2 to the combined original hook; both are interesting enough, within rules, and properly sourced. Good to go with either. —David Eppstein (talk) 04:10, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
