Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that J. Waites Waring be merged into Julius Waties Waring. I think that the content in the J. Waites Waring article can easily be explained in the context of Julius Waties Waring, and the J. Waites Waring article is of a reasonable size in which the merging of Julius Waties Waring will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned.Alanl (talk) 15:31, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
I agree the articles should merge, but I would preserve J. Waties Waring as the resulting article, because that's the name he's better known by. Also to my recollection: (1) he did not die in office as he had retired some years earlier and (2) I think it's a stretch to say he was an advocate of civil rights early in his career; at most, he was a moderate. It was not until about 1945 or so that he really became outspoken on racial issues. Again this is just my general recollection, I don't have access to the Kluger or Yarborough books that would elucidate these points.Groovemeister007 (talk) 18:27, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

Photo
[edit]Hello,
I think someone should add a photo for the judge to the lead of the article. I don't know how to do it, but I feel that he deserves one.
Best regards. Grangster89 (talk) 17:39, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
