A fact from Jonah Bolden appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 2 August 2015 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
A recent change for the Bolden's participation on the national team is worded: "He played for the Australia national under-19 basketball team in the FIBA Under-19 World Championship in 2013." I think the "under-19" repeated twice is redundant. The U19 team is generically a national team, and the event being stated afterwards clarifies that he participate in a U19 contest. For example, this article from Saint Mary's College refers to the national team generically: "... have been selected to the Australian National Team side that will compete at the FIBA Under 19 World Championships this summer in Greece."[1]—Bagumba (talk) 05:40, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The main issue is that it gives the inaccurate impression that Bolden actually played for the senior Australian basketball team, 'the Boomers', whereas he was only selected and had minimal court time playing for the U-19 national team, 'the Emus'. It is the same as calling the FIBA Under 19 World Championships the FIBA World Championships. Dan arndt (talk) 14:32, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
