On at least one other web site, it says that Joey sent an actor to the Geraldo show, rather than going himself. Can this be verified? 65.126.124.21 17:14, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"a grotesque Statues of Liberty" -- was it one statue, or many? 31.50.70.172 (talk) 20:05, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup needed

[edit]

Thanks for the work on cleaning up the article.

I've not looked closely at all the references, but my impression at this time is that a total rewrite might be necessary.

I'm still seeing what is apparently unverified content, and self-published sources, suggesting no one has given it even a basic review yet. --Hipal (talk) 19:00, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite attempt

[edit]

The attempt at a rewrite [1] created a lede section that seems fundamentally unencyclopedic, a continuation of the problems that this article has had. The added detail overall is similarly problematic.

Presenting his works by decade rather than by "Selected works" is an improvement.

Because the rewrite was done in a single edit, adding to the existing problems, I've reverted it. For the sake of review and progress, please work in small edits, ideally section-by-section, while clearly identifying the supporting references. --Hipal (talk) 17:52, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!
Thank you for all your pointers. I've worked through the page section by section making the necessary edits and ensuring the language and references were BLP compliant. I recently added the Career and Artisitic Philosophy section to highlight Joey's metholodologies but the promotional template was applied again. Was this for the recent section or the page as a whole? Thank you again for all your help. VillageProper (talk) 02:37, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The presentation and much of the content appears promotional. What we have here is not an article about Skaggs, but about many of his works. The sources are poor, the level of detail seems generally promotional and UNDUE. --Hipal (talk) 17:25, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. I will trim back on the selected works and language attributed to each one. I will also go through and review the sources. VillageProper (talk) 21:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Are there any sources that aren't interviews, publicity, human-interest, or the like? Anything that has deep coverage and historical context could help determine prominence. --Hipal (talk) 23:14, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
