This article is written in Hong Kong English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, realise, travelled) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
Several variations are given. I have gone with the Washington Post revised obituary. I suspect the name "Mary Magdelene Ellis" is a WP originating error, introduced to the infobox in 2008. All the best: RichFarmbrough, 12:54, 25 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]
And the claim that she was also known as "Ann Ellis" is not supported by the two primary sources given. The first source is a 1934 passenger list which records Ania Ellis and Madeline Ellis (mother and daughter, presumably) arriving in the USA by ship from China. The second source is a Social Security Death Index record for Ann Ellis, 1904-1995, not 1994 as stated in the article. I suspect some WP editor has confused the mother's name with the daughter, and probably the mother's year of death too. Muzilon (talk) 11:10, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
