[edit]

I took out this chunk:

The 'Dark Phoenix' is significantly different from the comic's version. Phoenix in the film was merely a concealed side of Jean Grey that manifested into a dark persona as the years passed. Whereas in the comics, the Phoenix Force was actually a cosmic entity that chose Jean, not another personality. While Brian Singer's version alludes to the Phoenix of the comics (with its manifestation as a fiery glow around Jean, or a bird of prey in other circumstances) the Jean Grey in this film does not portray the fiery bird, or any of the entity's traits. The film only takes the name and concept, but none of the Phoenix Force's actual capabilities, nor its personality, otherwise the chances of the Force allowing Jean to permanently die would be slim (in reference to the comics).

...For three reasons: because it is speculative; because the original (Claremont) conception of the Phoenix is similar to the film's, and this statement doesn't address that; and also because speculation about the nature of the Phoenix belongs on the Phoenix (comics) page. Fair use rationale for Image:X-Men ep-32.jpg

[edit]

Image:X-Men ep-32.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Evolution

[edit]

Removed the uncited statement about the XM:E Jean having the ability to create forcefields. If someone can come up with a citable example to back it up, it can be returned. --Noclevername (talk) 02:25, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She creates a forcefield to protect Cyclops and herself in the episode "Fun and Games".

Ultimate Alliance 2

[edit]

I took out the Ultimate Alliance 2 bit, since it only talked about some petition, and had nothing to do with the actual game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.168.147.135 (talk) 18:04, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marvel Girl?

[edit]

How do you know that Jean uses her Marvel Girl codename in Wolverine and the X-Men?

Age of Apocalypse

[edit]

Where does the information about Jean´s role in the Age of Apocalyse part of Wolverine and the X-Men come from?

Ultimate Alliance 2, again

[edit]

Right now the page has been semi-protected regarding the constant re-insertion of this material.

The bottom line is that there needs to be a reliable, verifiable, secondary source for the character being in the game.

The box art is not enough.

An interview with the game developers where they list the Jean Gray characters that appear in the game would be good. One where they detail how the character appears and is used would be better.

A review of the game, again listing the character that appear, with this character in the list, and how it is used. This is going to be hard to find since the game has not been released yet.

On youtube, search Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Jean, or Gambit if you like. On google, i'm SURE you can find some pictures of her doing FUSIONS and NORMAL MOVES. Who ever deleted the article about her on here should LEARN HOW TO READ REFFERENCES. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.26.16.82 (talk) 07:36, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. YouTube is not a reliable source.
  2. The tidbit needs a cite when it is added, so it is up to the editor adding it to provide the cite, not the reader to go hunt the cite down.

SOMEONE RE-ADD THE MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 2 SECTION!! JEAN HAS NOW BEEN OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED AS PLAYABLE ON THE GAMES WEBSITE!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.201.15.65 (talk) 19:40, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Either of you care to provide a direct link to where the publisher states "Jean Grey will be among the playable characters"? It's up to you, or anyone else interested in adding the one liner, to provide that, not the general site and a "someone else go find it". - J Greb (talk) 21:53, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

http://marvelultimatealliance.marvel.com/en/news_comments/developer_qa_on_the_making_of_jean_grey/ strong enough proof, yet? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zmikey08z (talkcontribs) 22:26, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually... you may want to look at Help:References about how to add the reference in the article so that the material doesn't get removed again. - J Greb (talk) 23:00, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
you are joking! Everytime I wrote that she's in, I PUT REFFERENCES IN. And SOMEONE for some reason deleted them. Again. And Again. And Again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zmikey08z (talkcontribs) 12:03, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was wandering if you could help me. I would like to upload an image to Jean Grey in other media#Wolverine and the X-Men. It's from Google images. It's a picture of Jean Grey wearing a red dress, walking with Emma Frost. What should I try? MR.LISYT (talk) 06:12, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
