[edit]According to the archives at Ellis Island, Hugh Reiss spelled his surname REISS. That same spelling was utilized by his wife, Mary, when she was photographed by Arnold Genthe in 1919. Therefore, the family's spelling of the surname appears to be correct; if you have any other comments, please write so this can be worked out. Until then, the surname should be spelled REISS as per official government documents. Mowens35 14:12, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit]This first paragraph of this section has all sorts of problems. It begins "Diamond Invention book - author Edward Jay Epstein," which appears to be the source of the rest of the paragraph, but it makes no sense in the sentence. The rest of the paragraph may be taken from that book verbatim—can anybody verify this? Anyway, it doesn't flow into the following paragraph at all. It's not clear if the Charles mentioned here is the same as the Charles Jr. from the third paragraph, or if this one is the Father of the other. On reading the article on him, they both seem to be the same person. If so, both paragraphs shouldn't introduce him. Also, it's a charming, colorful bit of history, but it really belongs in the article on Charles Engelhard, not this one. I would make that move myself, but I don't have the source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MiguelMunoz (talk • contribs) 20:15, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
