The probable hoax Atmospheric beast is linked up to this article, guising it as amoeba-like outer space animals. It's probable the entire sentence should be erased as a hoax intended to perpetuate Atmospheric beast. Said: Rursus 10:18, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Google search on "Atmospheric beast" "Ivan T. Sanderson" gives 7 hits. 2 are Wikipedia, 1 is a copy of Wikipedia, 4 are not connecting Sanderson with Atmospheric Beast at all. The sentence about Atmospheric beast is a blatant hoax, I'm going to remove it aggressively, so that electrons fly around. Adding such sentences are not just hoax – in a biography, it's a case of slander! Said: Rursus 19:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but the article Atmospheric beast itself is not a hoax. --Againme (talk) 20:25, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name confusion

[edit]

In the entry for Ivan T. Sanderson, in one place on the page his middle name is shown as 'Terence' and in another place as 'Terrance'. Which is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.75.61.17 (talk) 00:23, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch! I've fixed the paranormal box - DavidWBrooks 02:32, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Citations

[edit]

This article needs some citations. For instance the quotation about the Kongamato encounter needs to be sourced. I found this in Everett H. Ortner, "Do "Extinct" Animals Still Survive?" Popular Science September 1959, p. 87. It's there word for word, complete with the narrative about shooting the bat first. Would someone knowledgeable about Sanderson please go through the article and identify sources for some of the information in this article? 173.66.1.39 (talk) 03:21, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, "recording available" is not an acceptable form of citation for Wikipedia. 173.66.1.39 (talk) 03:30, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cryptozoology navbox

[edit]

The "cryptozoology" navbox was screwing up the markup; I can't figure out why, so I have removed it for now. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 15:15, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The cryptozoology template was sadly screwed up for about 18 hours until I noticed it. A user had removed something by accident [1], it has since been corrected. Psychologist Guy (talk) 21:33, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Vile vortex" listed at Redirects for discussion

Since there is a redirect, the article should mention the word. I added a section about VV, sourced to Larry Kusche, though I probably botched the sourcing format somehow. We do not need the exact geometric positioning or a drawing - it is enough to give the general idea. --Hob Gadling (talk) 07:32, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
