Knighted into the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem
[edit]Councillor IVAN PETCH of Ryde has been knighted into the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem.
The investiture ceremony was conducted in St James King Street Church in April 2010 by the 49th Grand Master His Excellency Don Carlos Gereda de Borbon, Marquis de Almazan.
Sir Ivan of St Lazarus is a long time serving Councillor on Ryde City Council including five years as Mayor earning him the title of Emeritus Mayor and a former Member of NSW State Parliament for the seat of Gladesville.
He is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and a former chairman of the Sydney County Council when electricity was affordable for all and efficiently and successfully run by Local Government before it was corporatised and corrupted by State Government. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lord priapus (talk • contribs) 01:20, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
