someone (sorry, have not checked who) added some extra info on alleged circumstances of Lappo's transfer to Dresden and his death, quoting Мякишев 2004 as a source. Unfortunately, there is no such info in the ref quoted. Мякишев says: "Неизвестно, когда и при каких обстоятельствах И. И. Лаппо оказался в Дрездене. Здесь, на чужбине, он закончил свои дни 23 декабря 1944 г. Г. Вернадский связывает смерть историка с бомбардировкой города англо-американской авиацией. Однако сведения эти лучше трактовать как непроверенные - с учетом отсутствия источника подачи информации и многочисленных ошибок и неточностей, встречающихся у этого автора при воспроизведении биографии И. И. Лаппо". And by the way, on the first glance it seems rather unlikely that following the Soviet seizure of Vilnius Lappo would have made it to Dresden. Have reverted this edit.
