HDI is incorrect

[edit]

The HDI given for Iran does not match the source, which should be 0.798, "high". — Preceding undated comment added 23 September 2018 (UTC)

Geography section

"It is one of the world's most mountainous countries, its landscape is dominated by rugged mountain ranges that separate basins or plateaus."

Please change this to either:

1. "It is one of the world's most mountainous countries; its landscape is dominated by rugged mountain ranges that separate basins or plateaus." (Note the semicolon)

Or

2. "It is one of the world's most mountainous countries, its landscape dominated by rugged mountain ranges that separate basins or plateaus."

(Note the removal of "is")

Oops accidentally sources 2A02:C7E:2F68:AC00:5833:8A6:8446:B664 (talk) 10:47, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ALSO
Please make lowercase "presidential" in this sentence
"Iran is officially governed as a unitary Islamic Republic with a Presidential system"
(presidential system unneeded to be capitalised)
I have made two requests so if one is bad but one good and you only do one of them you can mark my edit request as done anyway. Thank you 2A02:C7E:2F68:AC00:5833:8A6:8446:B664 (talk) 10:50, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
also maybe make "Islamic Republic" in that sentence not capital "republic"? I know Iran is Islamic Republic of Iran but "Islamic republic" not need be capitalise. 2A02:C7E:2F68:AC00:5833:8A6:8446:B664 (talk) 10:51, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done I've made all suggested changes. Thanks for helping spot these! Thebiguglyalien (talk) 16:33, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please add this content to the literature section of the Iran article, Thanks.

[edit]

Please add the following to the literature section in the culture section to make useful changes to the literature section of this article:⬇️ Deconstruction in Persian Language and Literature

The book Kalagh az khoshhali dar post-e-khod nemi gonjeshk.

The book Kalagh az khoshhali dar post-e-khod nemi gonjeshk written by Reza Ghani Rayeni is an example of Derrida's approach to the problem of language as a phenomenon in which meaning and concept are always postponed, as the writing becomes full of confusion and contradictions in proportion as the expression of truth is postponed. Contrary to being placed in the genre of poetry, this book can be considered a linguistic study that attempts to open a way to enter into topics such as deconstruction in Persian language and literature.[1][2][3][4]

Not done - Please format edit requests in "please change x to y" format. estar8806 (talk) 21:38, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now I corrected the request and wrote what changes should be made in the article, is it good now? Kamanipour (talk) 03:59, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have trouble understanding the editing process for such a page.
"Please change Relations between Iran and China is strong
to Relations between Iran and China are strong" Bill.pollard (talk) 23:05, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So what does it have to do with me?! I applied for editing the literature section, not Iran-China relations! Kamanipour (talk) 04:47, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done - Thank you, you gave a very good suggestion and I will implement your suggestion, but the sources you gave need to be corrected, which I corrected, of course, I also added new sources to them. Darvishanpourbami (talk) 16:49, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Undone: This request has been undone. Undone by another editor and speaking generally, this seems undue and too focused a single book for an article such as this. Skynxnex (talk) 20:55, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Change Relations between Iran and China is strong economically to Relations between Iran and China are strong economically

(Subject/verb agreement: Relations is the subject, so the verb should be are not is) Bill.pollard (talk) 22:58, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gilaks are not persian

[edit]

We are not persian. please edit the ethnic groups. 5.237.229.99 (talk) 16:29, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's better to have a historical study, then comment. According to the Greek historian Herodotus, the Amard people who built the Marlik civilization were from Persian tribes. Therefore, the people of Gilan can be considered Persians, although they speak Gilki language. Pay attention, here Persian means ethnicity, not Persian language.
