Drift cell figure
[edit]I find the drift cell figure misleading, as it could lead one to believe the gas flow is counter-current to the electric field-induced ionic motion. Although I think this is what occurs in FAIMS, in the figure shown the stacked ring electrodes lead me to believe this is supposed to depict DTIM or TWIM in which case the gas molecules would be experiencing predominantly Brownian motion. Perhaps a more accurate figure is in order.
