Tone
[edit]An editor asked me to elaborate on my use of the {{tone}} template, so here I go. My main concern is the choice of loaded terms like "regime", vagueness and inaccuracy of some expressions used, e.g. "shut down the Internet", "certain websites were blocked" (which might be out of scope of this template, but still). These are just from skimming the text. I think it should be checked for WP:MOS violations. Keφr (talk) 13:06, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- I made a few fairly minor changes to the article and removed the "tone" template. All in all the tone of the article didn't seem bad to me. I'll note that the term "shutdown" is commonly used in press accounts to describe what occurred at times during the Arab Spring and the article usually goes on to describe just what was involved in a particular shutdown and how long it lasted. --Jeff Ogden (W163) (talk) 19:12, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
