39th Infantry Regiment
[edit]For some reason, the "39th Infantry Regiment" link under History shows up as the "9th Infantry Regiment." I can't seem to fix it, if anyone else can, please do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.113.162.220 (talk) 15:31, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
Infantryman's Creed
[edit]I like that the Infantryman's Creed was included in this article. As a former Army Infantryman myself I was really moved by reading it again. With the Infantry having such a rich history in this country, I think that it should be placed at the first part of this article. This creed embodies everything this MOS stands for and I would be a good starting point for anyone diving into its history. also there is one formatting error on the first line that is not centered.Thomas eng1112 (talk) 18:40, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
Title Change
[edit]The title should not be "Infantry Branch" The infantry is not a branch of the military as the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force are. Instead the infantry is a job or MOS (Milliarty occupation code) For the Army infantry this would be 11B. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomas eng1112 (talk • contribs) 19:21, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
- The job or MOS of an infantryman or 11B is one of the Infantry Branch. So says the Army National Guard website (https://www.nationalguard.com/careers/basic-branch-officers), the Army Heraldry Institute and so says Hofstra University’s School of Military Science, to name just a few (https://www.hofstra.edu/academics/colleges/hclas/milsci/milsci_branches.html. Based on reliable sources it is property referred to as a “branch.” QueenofBattle (talk) 05:04, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
Unit insignia photos
[edit]When hovering over the current active infantry units, The images seem to be cut off and could possibly be resized so they can be seen more clearly. Also The 10th Mountain division Insignia seems to be the only one that is a photo of an actual patch and not a digital design like the others.Thomas eng1112 (talk) 19:39, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
