This is not corect. The party "Alliance '90/The Greens" was founded in 1990 as a merger of the West German party "The Greens" and the East German "Alliance '90", a civil right movement resulting from the 1989/1990 revolution (therefore its name).
The sentence should read "At the beginning of the 1980s he supported the Green party in its election campaign." Which had been co-founded in 1980 by his daughter Jutta Ditfurth. 109.91.150.121 (talk) 15:20, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
