So, User:JimKaatFan here is your discussion. As I said on your talk page, I don't have a problem with your edits about Brickleberry, even your recent ones, or the edits about other shows like Bob's Burgers. I appreciate those edits. However, I disagree with your edits about the following:
giving Brickleberry its own paragraph, dividing it from other shows
Noting that gen:Lock and RWBY are Rooster Teeth shows (they are).
I trim a lot of things that are overly detailed in articles that could use it. Having sentences dedicated to one character's "growling vagina" might be funny but this isn't a comedy blog, it's an encyclopedia, and without stronger sourcing for something like that, it's just not a significant enough of a character trait to need it there. As for the tumblr source, you'll notice I didn't remove the source, I just took out the quote, because, again, it's just fluff. It seems to me that there's a lot more that could be trimmed and this edit war of yours has drawn my attention to it. I think I could improve the page quite a bit with more trimming of WP:UNDUE stuff, but I've put it on hold because of you calling me a "jerk" multiple times, in hopes that I could get you to start acting more civilly. Feel free to trim the page, I wouldn't mind. I did call you a jerk, yes, but I take that back. Sometimes you can just get heated in the moment. Historyday01 (talk) 16:00, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I say that because I'm already planning to revise the page anyway, but I haven't got to it. So, I may end up adding a little bit more in depending on if I find sources for characters on the list pages. Historyday01 (talk) 16:01, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello all! Especially @User:Neils51, @User:DarioBee, @User:Pokelova, @User:Materialscientist, and anyone else who wants to participate. Unlike the 2000s page, this one is huge. It definitely needs to be split, I believe. Xtools says that there are 79,515 characters and 13,022 words. That would fall in the category of "Probably should be divided (although the scope of a topic can sometimes justify the added reading material)" according to WP:TOOLONG and WP:SIZESPLIT. I was thinking of dividing it by the two main sections: "Representation in anime" and "LGBTQ representation moves forward in Western animation." But, I'm not sure what I would call the spin off pages, so I'd like your thoughts on possible names. Like the 2000s page, the organization of the page by anime and Western animation was my idea, but if you have something better, feel free to propose that as well. Other suggestions are also welcome too, of course. Hope to hear from you all. Historyday01 (talk) 03:12, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
