Henry Willis cricketer
[edit]Charles Willis cited as his brother is the wrong Charles Willis (compare parentage). He did however have as a brother Charles Edwin Willis, a prominent croquet player of the 1890s and 1900s, the first CA Gold Medallist (1896) and the inventor of the eponymous hoop setting eventually adopted in the 1920s and still in use today. Further information available if of interest.
Henry’s daughter Nora was also a well known croquet player and tournament manager - and also Britain’s first postwoman (during the Great War). Bondcroquet (talk) 08:57, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
