Removed the speculation about Burris's contract offer from the Riders. Personally I think it should stay out as it really isn't verifiable though perhaps if it could be reworded in such a way to still be included (Something along the lines of "The Riders claimed the offer was $300,000, however Burris stated the offer was much lower.)
I cleaned up the paragraph as well, there were a couple spelling mistakes. Took out the sentence about the team "remaining devoted to the 'ineffectual' Nealon Greene'. Again, I don't think it belongs but I could live with that going back in there but it needs to be less subjective. Something along the lines of "the team wished to retain Greene as a backup, but Burris feared the team was committed to him." Even that wouldn't be entirely appropriate for this article.
Thirdly, I removed the excessive hyperlinking. I believe it is Wikipedia policy that hyperlinks to any specific article should only occur once, and any other references should be unlinked. IE: British Columbia Lions should be made a hyperlink the first time they are mentioned, afterwards they should not be. Shanebratt10:50, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To add, I believe the article should have some information on his CFL career in 1999 and 2000 prior to joining the NFL. I will attempt to add that later but would not object if somebody got to it before me :p Shanebratt10:52, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
