This was primarily a command-line OS. It had two (at least) graphics servers, but neither showed a desktop or anything like that as standard DavidArnold (talk) 06:22, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

Why is the article named HeliOS, when it specifies that it was never referred as such and only as Helios? The HeliOS name is not used in the article or any of its citations, it'd probably make more sense to rename it to "Helios (operating system)". TuxCrafting (talk) 15:07, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Other Helios operating systems

In addition to this Helios project (from Perihelion, and described canonically in the two published books), there are at least two others I am aware of:

https://github.com/heliosproj/HeliOS, which is another embedded operating system, that is so far as I can tell completely unrelated to Perihelion's Helios (other than by name). Note that they stylize their name "HeliOS".
https://sr.ht/~sircmpwn/helios/, an OS derived from seL4 by Drew DeVault.

There are numerous other things called Helios around, but the current "Helios (operating system)" disambiguation doesn't work that well, given these other operating systems claiming the name.
