Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • The recording date is not sourced for the second infobox and why is Juan Luis Guerra not wikilinked?
  • Write out the composers and producers in the body
  • "handling the track's production." → "handling the production."
  • Swap the release and ballad sentences
  • ""Hasta Que Me Olvides" was released as" → "It was released as"
  • "who listed it among his" → "who listed it among Miguel's" and shouldn't there be a comma before who?
  • Remove redundant capitalisation for Latin AWard and add the year 1995

Background and composition

[edit]
  • "led to Guerra composing" → "led to him composing" on the img text
  • The 1940s part is not sourced
  • Pipe certified gold to Music recording certification
  • Remove El Siglo de Torreón Mexican newspaper introduction
  • Wikilink as cover versions instead
  • Shouldn't you mention the title of the album in the second para?
  • "in Mexico, led to Guerra" → "in Mexico led to him"

Promotion and reception

[edit]
  • Mention it was the album's second single per this being a new section
  • Remove the comma before El Concierto
  • Mention it was released as a promo single that same year
  • "La Prensa de San Antonio Diana Raquel commended" → "La Prensa de San Antonio author Diana Raquel commended"
  • End the speech marks at YouTube Music
  • "becoming his ninth number one" → "becoming Miguel's ninth number one"

The result was: promoted by SL93 (talk20:13, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Improved to Good Article status by Magiciandude (talk). Nominated by Onegreatjoke (talk) at 20:14, 5 January 2023 (UTC).[reply]

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: No - the current hook doesn't explicitly state it was Guerra who wrote the song
QPQ: Done.

Overall: @Onegreatjoke: Article is long enough and has been promoted to GA on Jan 3 and nominated in time. It is neutral, inline citations exist, and copyvio flags a vendor site which copied the first paragraph twice. The hook is long enough, interesting, and sourced and I'll AGF on the source. A QPQ has been provided. The hook needs a bit of tweaking, as the "led to him" bit could refer to either Miguel or Guerra. Sebbirrrr (talk) 10:31, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Sebbirrrr: how about that Luis Miguel's chance meeting with Juan Luis Guerra led to Juan writing the song "Hasta Que Me Olvides" in a napkin?" Onegreatjoke (talk) 15:06, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Onegreatjoke: I've gone ahead and replaced "him" with Guerra per MOS:SURNAME. Good to go now! Sebbirrrr (talk) 15:44, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
