[edit]Formally Harrogate Carnegie Library, or formerly Harrogate Carnegie Library? -- Hoary (talk) 10:56, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Original author here of the article here. The intent was "formally", i.e., that it is a more formal name for the establishment that remains in use to this day. PoshCrouton (talk) 18:37, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

Katharine Skaife Citation
[edit]I'm wary of the need for improvement on the citation of Katharine Skaife's 1984 essay "Literary life in Harrogate and Knaresborough". I'm sharing below all I have from her work in the hopes that it helps someone more experienced/knowledgable than I improve the citation where I could not:

- @PoshCrouton: Thank you: I've put these details into a {{cite thesis}} template.
- @Peter I. Vardy and Storye book: Greetings to you both! I wonder if you might be able to help with this new article, recently accepted via the Articles for Creation process: especially in relation to whether the library is described in the North Yorkshire Pevsner, and/or in any other local book sources. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 11:11, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- The library is referred to in Pevsner, but not in the North edition, rather in the West Riding edition (Leach and Pevsner), p.312.
- I have added a few refs from Malcolm Neesam (local historian) and a little bit from local newspapers. I have also added a little Wikification at the bottom of the article. I am also able to take some new local photographs, including anything in relation to the library, if required. Hope that helps. Storye book (talk) 12:52, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
