Hello Just brace yourselves please and I don't know how to be heard of my story on the situation of Hacienda Healthcare then and now. Back in August 2016 I was a employee of Hacienda Healthcare up until January 2018 still would of been there if it wasn't for my father getting sick and, also losing his mother and couldn't make it to her funeral my father decided he wanted to go back to Michigan. So we went back but I always said I was coming back cause I love Arizona and I loved working at Hacienda just felt love and peace there with the staff and most importantly with the clients.
I first came to Arizona back in April 2013 month after the tragedy of me losing my husband in Michigan where I was born and raised so after he passed I had to leave Michigan I felt I lost a part of me and nothing was there for me any more just felt dark there, so I packed me and my daughter up and left and came here to Arizona with my late husbands sister, so 2014 I end up convincing my parents and siblings to come here and they did.
Trying to find a way to make my story short since this a site and honestly don't know if anyone going to see this or not I just felt and needed to get my story out of what happened to me at Hacienda Healthcare when I came back of how I was treated don't know if it was due to of what that nurse did to the patient by the way was my favorite patient before I left and also new who the nurse was and would of never thought about him. I cry every time I think about that situation cause I tell myself why did I leave her that happened Dec 2018 I left JAN 2018 also even ask myself you know never mind about that it just hurted my heart when I found out what happened and it still hurt especially now,
Hacienda Healthcare that place really hurt me so July 2024 I came back to Arizona and August 2024 I was rehired back at Hacienda like I said I loved working there and was gone come back even after what happened I love Caregiving and I missed the clients, But man I came back to a whole different change and feeling, and the sad part is for this long as I was told when returning by coworkers that's been there back then and some meeting now that they been getting away with this behavioral this long all because nobody spoke up and if you did complained nothing happens still be the same thing and It's sad to us good workers who do care and love what we do that's there for the well being of the clients and not to just get a check.
Working there now I didn't feel the love the joy or peace like I felt back then. I felt more hurt, shameful, disrespected and angry. First, off about 20 employees out that whole building of maybe like 150-300 maybe more employees are African Americans majority are Hispanics Second, the whole upper management to the CEO is letting this go on all because there all friends, family and they all been there a while; yes, they was there when that happened with about that nurse nobody in that company that's higher up is new they all just jumped up positions, this group of Hispanics that works nights 6pm-6am same shift I was on was getting away with only wanting to work among themselves so if I was scheduled with them they scratched my name out and just switched me,or tell me they will get somebody else to help them, or even have me waiting then come and say they already did it, they was having these group luncheons in the clients dining room instead of staff break room for 2-3 hours, not doing nightly duties, not doing nightly safety checks, leaving the building to get food, being loud while speaking nothing but Spanish, sleeping, and whatever else. But guess what I got terminated for there reason is poor performance that they seen on camera but I guess don't see the poor performance on camera. When it's a lie for 1 and for 2 really yall firing me after rehiring me and being back 6 months haven't never received not even spoken to or anything about my performance and also you terminate another African American girl the same day for the same reason.
I been sent text message to my manager about speaking with her about the issues im having and how I felt, yall know she text me back so unprofessional and says she will let me know when she's in the building and guess when she text and say she in building and will be there until this time if I wanted to come speak with her yup same day I get terminated when arrived for shift and when arrived my name was scratched off the schedule but unit leader was erasing it talking about they said I called off no you didn't its just you all already knew I was about to get fired the manager told them like I said they all friends and manager so unprofessional I was so mad I sent a email to the CEO Perry, next day I went up to HR spoke to this lady but she was more like its nothing she could do I had to speak with her manager but even said of how yeah they all friends and nothing gone happen her manager comes in point at me and says your Della I said yes she says I got your email im gone have to ask you to leave I said my email then it dawned on me Perry must sent to her so I left.
I know its a lot its just i wanted and needed to get my story out of how I was wrongfully terminated and how the hispanics can do whatever but by me speaking up and doing my job I get terminated and lose everything all because I'm African American and do my job not right or fair.
