Belgian flag

I'm not sure about this, but I do not believe that the Belgian naval ensign was used by the Belgian section, Royal Navy during the Second World War? I think that unless there is evidence to the contrary, using the national flag is preferable.---Brigade Piron (talk) 15:46, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, photographic evidence (see here) shows the Belgian government flag (

- the lion and crown superimposed on the national flag) used as a naval ensign on HMS Buttercup. Changed to reflect this. --Brigade Piron (talk) 12:53, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
