Notable people
[edit]I concur with the earlier deletion of the band directors, and I question whether the 4 pm weatherman on a local newscast is "notable" in the Wikipedia sense either. The lack of an Wikipedia article about someone is generally a sign that they aren't notable enough to be pointed out on their hometown's article page. Nareek 19:26, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that the weatherman should probably not be listed either. He's listed at WLS-TV, but as you said, he doesn't have a page of his own, and it's not clear whether a page for him would be kept. I've pinged 152.228.243.60's talk page, and mentioned WP:BIO... hopefully the user can stop by and discuss it. --Interiot 14:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Zip Codes
[edit]I notice the info tab on the article's right hand side lists two zip codes for Gurnee: 60031 and 60032. I've lived in Gurnee for 20 years and never heard of 60032, but then again, the area is growing rapidly. So I went to the Zip Code Look-Up at the US Postal Service website (usps.com). When I typed in "Gurnee, IL" the only result I got was 60031. So then I went to the "search by zip code" feature and typed in 60032, and received the following error message:
"The ZIP Code you entered could not be found in our database. Please confirm the ZIP Code and try again.
If you are certain the ZIP Code entered is valid, please send an email..."
So, I think it might be an mistake, but that would be an odd thing to make a mistake on (though this page does seem to have a good amount of "boosterism" so perhaps it wasn't really a mistake). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.162.45.185 (talk) 16:27, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
