I don't get it
[edit]There's something incredibly confused here, I guess. "Gregorian chant", "Depeche Mode" and "Sarah Brightman" are concepts that don't seem to match. Isn't this a bunch of New Age records with some synth pads and a choir? Because that's very much NOT "Gregorian chant" nor Gregorian chant-inspired in any sense, no more than the soundtrack from Ladyhawke is medieval music.
Sorry for poor English and sorry for bugging you folks, I'm not being a purist: I even LOVE new age junk and fantasy B-movies, I'm just puzzled by the use of definitions here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.115.52.6 (talk) 11:46, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- There is certainly no serious use of gregorian chant in the music of this band, they just picked it up as a gimmick. I mean, how can you have supposed monks singing When A Man Loves A Woman or even Losing My Religion (both tracks are on the first Masters of Chant album)? ;D Strausszek (talk) 09:07, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- Presumably the same way that you can have the Carmina Burana, written by Goliards such as the Archpoet ;D
