Rated as low since it only a small, relatively unknown distillery. --Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 17:14, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I am proposing that Glen Breton Rare be merged into Glenora Distillers as there seems to be little difference in the content. Tchaliburton (talk) 01:07, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that there is a lot in common and so merge is a valid option. BUT - the Glen Breton Rare page does contain significant information that relates to International Trademark law and disputes that needs to be preserved. It also contains a rather important phrase to Whisky fans, aficionados and connoisseurs concerning "Glen Breton Ice" - "Glenora Distillery introduced the world's first ever single malt aged in Ice Wine barrels". That is not clear in the Glenora Distillers entry. When it comes to whisky the taste is derived from three things - the water - the grain used - the barrel it's aged in. The barrels are very important and the distinction is Noteworthy and important to the overall subject of Whisky. As Whisky production uses recycled barrels, what has been in them before does have a significant impact on the flavour and nature of the Whisky. That is not made clear on other Wikipages dealing with the subject of Whisky. Now where can I get me hands on some Glen Breton Ice to see how it tastes? - Merge -- Glen Breton Rare by itself does not make a substantial article. With some proper merging, the two should be reconsiled quite nicely. C(u)w(t)C(c) 04:31, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
- Merge - Without the naming dispute and the taste description (does that belong in the article at all?) there is no article left about the brand. Night of the Big Wind talk 07:55, 22 May 2012 (UTC)<humour on>But I might change my mind when the distiller sends me a dozen of bottles.<humour off>
